Alan Wake 2
Switching to 1440p, the XFX Speedster MERC RX 7900 XT Black Edition maintains top performance. We see 8% and 14% performance differences. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB sees the same 5% margin over the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC. The game plays very well at 1440p for all the cards. We see roughly 3% better with overclocking.
Returnal
The same basic theme repeats itself here. The XFX Speedster MERC RX 7900 XT Black Edition holds a 13 and 17% lead. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB is 4% better than the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC. The FPS is very quick here, so upscaling is not necessary, really. The gap does widen between the 4070Ti Super and the 4070 Ti, however. Overclocking nets 5%.
Forspoken
Fast results once again with very smooth gameplay in this case. The XFX Speedster MERC RX 7900 XT Black Edition is still on top by 5 and 13%. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB holds its edge at 7% over the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC.
Chernobylite Enhanced Edition
This particular game seems to favor the NVIDIA cards as a rule. Here the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB has a 15% margin over the XFX Speedster MERC RX 7900 XT Black Edition and 8% over the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC. The FPS are simply ridiculous in upscaled. Overclocking is 4% better.
Dying Light 2
Once again, blazing fast results, especially upscaled. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB holds a slim margin in the native resolution of 2%, but at this FPS it is pretty academic. The same holds true for the margin over the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC at 4%. Overclocking is just under a 5% uplift.
Cyberpunk 2077
While all the cards are fast here, really fast for this game, the XFX Speedster MERC RX 7900 XT Black Edition is very fast. An 18% margin and a 22% margin, yikes, and that is without upscaling. The game looks amazing, too. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER WINDFORCE OC 16GB just can’t get past the 4% barrier over the GIGABYTE RTX 4070 TI Gaming OC.
