Test Setup

We are using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D-based system for testing. For 2025, we have upgraded our testing PC with completely updated components from top to bottom. We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings on the latest release BIOS. We have enabled PCI-Express Resizable BAR in the motherboard BIOS. We have enabled EXPO I in the BIOS for the memory. We are using a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows Updates, including the 24H2 update. We have the latest drivers installed, including the latest chipset drivers. We are using the “Balanced” power profile in Windows Settings, Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (VBS) is enabled.

I have been questioning nvidia cards length since the 4000 series (except for the 4090), as the PCB is rather short in comparison.
My case is barely enough to fit a RTX3070Ti, fitting a RTX5070Ti was out of the question, much less a 5080. Thankfully we now have options.
