Power and Temp

In the graphs we are comparing total system Wattage at the wall, results are in Watts and Celsius temperature.

Power

The total system Wattage at the wall while playing games was 255W.  When we overclocked it that increased to 286W.  Overall this video card is very efficient, keeps the whole system under 300W and really quite a powerful video card considering the power draw.

Temp

The default temperature was 68c while gaming.  When we overclocked the video card at 100% fan speed the temperature was 64c.  The fan noise was not an issue, the fans run quietly at default even at 73%.  We did hear the fan at 100%, but even the 100% fan speed wasn’t loud.  Inside a case, you could run 100% fan speed without it annoying you.

However, 100% fan speed wasn’t required to hold this overclock.  It will benefit you to run it above 73% though to keep the GPU under 70c, keeping it at about 85-90% would be recommended so that the temps stay below 70c and hold the highest GPU Boost.
