Ghost Recon Breakpoint

We are using the latest version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint.  We are utilizing the built-in benchmark in this DX11 game for our performance.  We are using the built-in graphics preset options to change game graphic options.

Apples-to-Apples

In this graph above we are running the game at the “Ultra” graphics preset which is the highest possible in-game graphics options.  On the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G we get good performance at 1080p.  The average is right near 70FPS and overclocked it improves performance 6% and makes the game all the better for a great 1080p experience.

However, performance starts to sharply suffer at 1440p in this game at the highest setting.  It’s averaging 47FPS and though overclocking helps by 11% it isn’t enough to make 1440p playable at “Ultra” settings.

At 4K performance suffers quite severely and is not playable.

Highest Playable Settings

We know from above that 1080p with “Ultra” graphics settings is playable.  However, to make 1440p playable we must lower the game graphics quality to “High” preset.  When doing this the average is now a pleasant 72FPS.  Therefore, 1080p at “Ultra” is playable or 1440p at “High” is playable.
