In this graph, we are running at 1080p with the highest “Ultra” in-game settings enabled. Performance is rough at the highest in-game settings, but the results are also very interesting. The ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G OC default performance is actually just slightly faster than the XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC II Pro in this game. That’s pretty impressive.
When we overclock the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti OC performance increases by 7% and outperforms the overclocked XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC II Pro. We didn’t expect the ASUS STRIX GTX 1660 Ti to perform faster than the Radeon RX 5600 XT in this game, but there you go.
To further verify the results we lowered the game settings to a more playable setting in the game, “High” settings. This only helped the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti OC performance even more over the XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT.
The ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G at default is actually 5% faster than the overclocked XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC II Pro! Overclocking the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G improves performance by 7%. The gameplay experience is quite nice on the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G OC video card overclocked at “High” settings in this game.
We also tested 1440p (2560×1440) on the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1660 Ti O6G OC video card in every game today. You can see above that at 1440p with custom “Medium” settings the gameplay experience overclocked isn’t too shabby. The overclock improve performance by 8% which made the gameplay more tolerable for sure.
