Metro Exodus
In Metro Exodus, we are running the game at 1080p with the “Extreme” settings applied. These are the highest in-game settings. In this game, the tables turn, and the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G OC video card is no longer on top. The XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT is now faster both at default performance and overclocked.
While overclocking the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti O6G OC video card has improved performance by a good 9%, it still is beat by the default performance on the XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC II Pro. When overclocked the XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT beats the overclocked ASUS STRIX GTX 1660 Ti by 19%.
We didn’t stop there though, like the previous game we also set this game down to a more respectable quality level. Turning the game down to “Ultra” quality made the game much more playable on both video cards. However, the Radeon RX 5600 XT still has a leg up in performance overall. But, the overclocked ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1660 Ti performance is getting quite close to the default performance of the XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT.
Testing performance at 1440p we turned the quality of the game down to “High” settings. This allowed a decent amount of performance with the video card overclocked. Overclocking the video card improved performance by 11% which is the highest advantage so far with overclocking.
