SiSoft Sandra

We used SiSoftware Sandra version 2020.5.30.41 for all Sandra testing. The processor arithmetic Dhrystone and Whetstone performance results are represented in GFLOPS.

Dhrystone

In this test, the results are close across most of the test systems with only the older 9900K falling behind. Overclocking doesn’t yield much of an improvement here either.

Whetstone

AMD manages a slight lead here. Even when overclocked, this remains true.

wPrime

Version 2.10 was used. We also ran the 1024m test for each test configuration with the appropriate thread count.

Here, the MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon WiFi falls behind the ASUS Prime X570 as the 3900X is simply stronger in this test due to having more cores.

WinRAR Benchmark

WinRAR 5.90 was used. We are looking at the KB/s that each CPU can process.

WinRAR has always been a weird test. It does benefit from additional threads, but it also favors clock speeds. Therefore, it’s not entirely surprising that the 10900K is the fastest configuration tested here. It also enjoys a slight bump in performance from overclocking.
