Metro: Exodus

We are using the latest version of Metro: Exodus.  For our testing, we are using the built-in benchmark.  We are utilizing “Extreme” game settings and HairWorks and PhysX turned on.  We are running this game in DX12.

Metro: Exodus is quite a challenging game for performance for these video cards.  At “Extreme” none are really playable.  You’d need to drop to “High” or “Medium” even to be playable at 1440p with these video cards.

At this very hard setting, it does show that the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPUs do come ahead quite a bit from the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER and GeForce RTX 2070 FE.  The reference Radeon RX 5700 XT is 12% faster than the GeForce RTX 2070 FE and 17% faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER.

The XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC II Ultra is only a small 2% faster than the reference RX 5700 XT.  However, when we overclock it’s now 5% faster.  Compared to the GeForce RTX 2070 FE it’s 18% faster.
