Control
We are using the latest version of the new game Control. For our testing we are using the in-game quality presets for overall graphics. We are running this game in DX12. We are gathering real-world gameplay utilizing a custom run-through in the Cafeteria and Dead Letters area in the game with combat.
In the graph above we are running the game at 1440p with the “High” quality preset enabled. This is the game’s highest quality option. Beyond that, we can utilize Ray Tracing on NVIDIA GPUs, of course, that does not work on the AMD GPUs so we have that turned off.
Once again we see the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPUs do very well in this game and outperform even the GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition. The reference AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT is 7% faster than the GeForce RTX 2070 FE, even more than the last game.
The XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC II Ultra is 4% faster than the reference AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. Overclocking the XFX video card improves performance by 4%.
